Color: Straw / pale gold.
Nose: Just what you would expect from Caol Ila; a straightforward maritime whisky. There is a huge amount of peat smoke, tarry ropes, sweet lemon and the freshest butter. I also get even some medicinal notes such as bandages. Absolutely delicious.
Palate: Very smoky with some salty licorice, sweet lemon and big peat. Perfect balance & extremely highly drinkable, almost too tasty.
Finish: Smoke’n’ash, lemon and licorice.
Yeah baby! If you find a bottle of this - buy it, but you have to be a peat freak of course. ;)

Ups, ésta es la primerísima cata de Caol Ila en mi blog – ya era maldita hora…
Color: Paja / oro pálido.
Nariz: Exactamente lo que se puede esperar de Caol Ila: sencillamente un whisky marítimo. Tiene una cantidad enorme de humo de turba, sogas tratadas con brea, limón dulce y mantequilla muy fresca. También puedo oler algunas notas medicinales como vendajes. Absolutamente delicioso.
Paladar: Muchísimo humo con un poco de regaliz salado, limón dulce y mucho turba. Perfecto equilibrio & muy bebible, casi demasiado sabroso.
Final: Humo y ceniza, limón y regaliz.
¡Yeah baby! Si encuentras una botella de este whisky - cómpralo, pero naturalmente tienes que ser un loco por la turba… ;)
